Free Google review QR code generator
Type your business name and pick your listing. It finds your Google review link and turns it into a free QR code you can download. No sign-up, and nothing is stored.
The lookup asks Google Maps for matching listings and nothing else. Nothing you type is stored, and the code is made on your device.
What a Google review link is
A Google review link is a web address that opens the review box for one business, with the five stars ready to tap. It is not the link to your Maps listing. From the listing a customer still has to find the Reviews tab, scroll, and press Write a review, and each step loses a few of them. The review link skips all of that.
Every business on Google Maps has one. It is built from the listing’s Place ID, the code Google uses to tell your business from the one next door, in the form search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=.... Google Business Profile also hands owners a shorter version that starts with g.page. Both land in the same place.
Why the QR code on an invoice or a counter works
Reviews come from asking at the right moment and making the review one tap away. The moment is the end of the job, when the work is in front of the customer and they have just said thanks. A QR code on the invoice, the counter or the van handles the second part: the camera reads it, the review box opens, and the stars are already on the screen.
Sending the link in a text message does the same thing. The code is for the moments when you are standing there, and the link is for the ones when you are not.
If the finder cannot see your business
The finder only knows businesses that are on Google Maps. If yours is not there yet, there is no review link to find, and no QR code can make one. Here is the order to do things in.
- Go to google.com/business and create a free Business Profile. Use the business name as customers say it, and your real service area or address.
- Verify the listing. Google usually asks for a short video of the premises or the van, sometimes a phone call or a postcard. It can take a few days.
- Once the listing shows on Maps, search for it here. The review link exists from that moment, before you have a single review.
- If the business is on Maps but the finder cannot match it, add the town, or open the listing on Google Maps, press Share, and paste that link into the Paste a link tab.
A business that has moved or renamed sometimes has two listings. Pick the one with the reviews on it, and ask Google to merge or remove the other through the Business Profile help pages.
